Bookatrix for a 90th Birthday

My friend Hilary's mum asked me to make her a card for a gentleman she knows who is gonna be 90 yrs young next week, and who has a passion for music and Pianos.

I used the Bookatrix from the Glitter Girls, the box was made using the Illusions board from the Glitter girls card stock from Crafters Companion, the plate stand template was from Scrapbookingmad.com and all other bits and bobs were from my craft stash.

Wendy's Live challenge.

I made 2 cupcake cards for Wendys live craft challenge on Friday. I am quite pleased how these turned out as i've never done these before. I love doing them and would likely do some more.

CC Blog Challenge 7

This sketch was created by our guest designer Beccy. Well done Beccy in producing the is fab sketch and thank you for taking part in being a guest designer for Crafters Companion Blog.

This is my take on the sketch.

I used a Pyramage image from the Crafters Companion Birthday Popcorn cd,I also used some pretty pink spotted organza ribbon, some Pink Prima paper flowers, an embossed card cut down to fit on the Pink cardstock and some pink flatbacked gems.

SOOOO SORRY!

Sorry guys for not posting a bit more regular, I have not been well for a few days and i'm still not feeling 100%. I am full of a cold, bunged up and quite chesty, not to mention I have this whopping sore throat, that when i wake in the mornings, i've got no voice. My hubby says at least I can't snap at him until i get it back...:-(

Anyway, I'm hoping to be back to my normal self soon and will be back blogging again.

A few cards i made randomly.

Here are a few cards i made recently for no particular reason, I just felt like having a play.

Live craft Challenge with Ellen.

Here is my card that i did during the craft challenge with Ellen.

I used the New Christmas Messy Rabbit CD from Joanna Sheen. Plus some green Mirri Card and 2 co-ordinating cardstock for Base card and matting.

Inside I matted one the the A5 inserts from the Messy Rabbit CD onto some green mirri card and wrapped a ribbon around and tied into a bow.

This sketch was done by Anne for the Its a crafters companion blog challenge.



this is my card made using Annes sketch.
Again I used the Popcorn CD for the background papers and for the paper ribbon bow.
The Grey card stock base is from Crafters Companion and also the turquoise embossed papers to.
The image I aquired via a stamped image swap on CC forum, RachelB will know the name of it. I used coloured pencils to colour the image and then sprayed the image with Spray and Sparkle also from Crafters Companion.

Mini Purse box and cards set

Well I thought I would do something different and had a go at a gift card set, using the Mini Purse Box Template from Sue's Stampin Designs. The link to this wonderful website is at the top of my side bar on the right if you would like to pop along to her website to see more of her works.

I used cardstock from Provocraft, Patterened papers from Crafter Companion Luxury papers pack, Charms are from ebay and the wired flowers and brads on the box are from Create and Craft.

Saturday's sketch 32 for Wendy

I have done Wendy's sketch for Saturday again this week, hope you like doing it.

I used the Christmas Popcorn Bear from Crafters Companion for this weeks sketch.
Also used some pastel green cardstock from the cardstock pack that came in the bumper kit with the Cd rom. I used some red card stock from my bit box and some green Raffia for th ribbon effect.
