So Sorry

I'm sorry I haven't been updating my blog, but i have been having problems with my printer. The cartridges keep failing for some reason, so I've not been able to print my papers off. Hopefully i'll get it sorted soon and I can post some more cards. Thanks for being patient.

The Corrosive Challenge Sketch

I decided to have a go at a challenge on another blog and came across this one
http://www.corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.com/

I made this using the sketch above, the papers were a freebie from a magazine, the card stock and flowers are from my stash, and the digital image is from Dustin Pike's website. The link for this is down the right hand side. I coloured it using Derwent watercolour pencils. The scalloped oval I cut on my cricut.

This weeks challenge By Wendy

Here is my take on Wendy's Forum challenge at http://forum.crafterscompanion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4213&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

I used some Baby pink linen card stock from my stash, some gel pens, and 2 sets of Smirk Rubber stamps ( Naughty But Nice and Love & Friendship) with stazon ink and some pigment ink for rubbing around the edges of the toppers. For the box topper I use Labels three nestabilities and some silk flowers.

Thank you Sooo much Wendy

Thank you so much for creating a beautiful blog background specially for me Wendy. I love it. xxx

Finally, time to do some crafting.

Ahhhh!!! Kids now in bed and i can finally relax and do what i most enjoy in the whole world and that is crafting. I also think this blogging lark will catch on to with me and become a close second.

I have a few things I want to catch up on for e.g: This weeks sketch on Crafters companion forum-http://forum.crafterscompanion.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=15&sid=7106df9ae27cf57528032361970d1b48

Hopefully i'll get it done this evening so that I can post it here in the morning.

What a day I've had!

This is my son Ryan (next to his teacher) waiting patiently for the race to start.

Today was my sons first school sports day. He didn't win any races, but he wasn't disappointed at all...i was really proud of him. The children managed to get all their races done and was sitting down to have a drink and a biscuit, when it started to rain a little. Then within 20 seconds the heavens opened and the rain poured down, it was like sheets of glass right across the playing fields. i've never seen so many people and children run as fast. We all got drenched through to the skin. We were a sight for sore eyes, we all looked like drowned rats.

Challenge #1

This is my entry for the new It's A Crafters Companion Blog, using the new Popcorn bear CD.

Yeah! My first time at blogging.

I am new to this blogging lark, and very nervous too, although i'm told it is very addictive. All I ask is please be patient with me until I get the hang of it.

Many thanks
Christine
